Here we are offering a one of a kind, Janis Joplin owned and worn 1960's white cotton & embroidered accent detailed dress, along with a Letter of Authenticity from Mickey Deans, nightclub manager, who was the last husband of Judy Garland.
Truly a one of a kind Janis Joplin collectible for the diehard Janis Joplin collector.
Back one night in the 1960's (see the notarized letter of authenticity from Mickey Deans), Janis gave this dress to promoter Mickey Deans in a nightclub he was managing in England. As well as being known as a promoter, Mickey Deans was also the last husband of Judy Garland, famous movie star and singer (remember her in The Wizard of Oz?). Janis was in a nightclub in England, not sure if she was performing or not, that was run by Mickey Deans. Now, on display in this club was memorabilia hanging on the walls that belonged to other famous performers. So she decided to donate this embroidered dress along with a few other items of hers, to be put on display in this club along with other performer's memorabilia. Included with this item is a letter of authenticity (LOA) signed by Mickey Deans, stating items given to him from her for display in the club. The letter has also been notarized.
Don't miss out on this fantastic one of a kind white accent embroidered dress both owned and used by Janis Joplin! So much history behind it for one of the most famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
