Here we are offering a vey rare, vintage, battery operated, animated, tin toy bank made in Japan by Cragstan circa 1950's in excellent working condition and complete with original box. Toy bank is in excellent cosmetic condition with only minor signs of wear from age and use. And toy is complete with its original box in overall good condition with some signs of wear due to age, a bit of tape on the inside of the box, minor chips on the box, etc (see pics). Upon inserting a penny which drops into a chamber below, the cowboy rider moves around, arms swing back and forth as well as the horse "gallops" back and forth, which lasts approximately a minute and then stops. Insert another penny and the action begins all over again. Coins are taken out of the toy in the savings compartment. Please see our video. One thing to note: See picture showing the opening of the savings coins area, note marked, "Up position to start". On occasion, this metal piece will move into the down position. This happens especially after not using this toy bank in quite some time. All you need to do is push the metal piece into the "up" position. This sets up the starting action of the toy once a penny is inserted. So, once a coin is put into the bank slot, it pushes this metal piece down, and the actions of the toy start. After a minute or so the action stops, the bar returns to the up position, ready for the next coin to be deposited to once again start all of the actions of this rare toy all over again. Not really an issue, just need to be aware that if not played with for a while, this metal piece will fall into the down position and toy action will not start until it is pushed up to the up position again and a penny is inserted.
Takes 2 D batteries which are not included.
