Rare, Vintage, Strenco ST-1 Windup Tin Robot, 1950s, Germany, Works, See Video!

Here we are offering a very rare, German made circa 1950s, windup tin robot toy in working condition (read on...), known as the the Strenco ST-1 Robot. Overall good cosmetic condition with some wear, aging, minor rust spots due to age and use. Do not believe the key which comes out is original but it fits perfectly.

As far as working condition, robot does work as you will see in the video which is a combination of two videos showing this robot working, he moves forward. Make sure to windup the robot while holding it off the surface allowing it to be wound. The robot does work as you will see but from time to time, the robot will fall to one side. Does no damage to the robot. Just pick him up and start again. At times, when winding him up, he will not move at all. If this happens just grab each leg and move them back and forth and the legs will then move again. Just want to mention these quirks. The windup mechanism is strong though. Remember this robot toy is about 70 years old and still is in nice condition. Makes a great display piece as well. He is approximately 7 inches tall.
